"But My people would not heed My voice, And Israel would have none of Me. So I gave them over to their own stubborn heart , To walk in their own counsels."-Psalm 81:11-12 NKJV
I know that every day I make so many choices knowingly and unknowingly. The way I approach each choice always come down to which voice I heed to at that time. If I listen to my “flesh” then I will be led to destruction. The voice of my “flesh” is one of captivity and misguidence it’s sound can be sweet but that sweetness brings bitterness. The voice of the LORD is one of freedom, provision , security, and satisfaction. His voice requires submission that can often be hard for me to submit to.It is not because of the LORD but my own stubborn heart. The truth of the matter is this: His voice is the voice to heed. His voice will never lead you astray. His voice will always lead to good.
"Oh, that My people would listen to Me , That Israel would walk in My ways! I would soon subdue their enemies, And turn My hand against their adversaries. The haters of the LORD would pretend submission to Him, But their fate would endure forever. He would have fed them also with the finest of wheat; And with honey from the rock I would have satisfied you."-Psalm 81:13-16 NKJV
