“Moreover He called for a famine in the land ; He destroyed all the provision of bread. He sent a man before them-Joseph-who was sold as a slave. They hurt his feet with fetters, He was laid in irons. Until the time his word came to pass. The word of the LORD tested him. The king sent and released him, The ruler of the people let him go free. He made him lord of his house, And ruler of all his possessions, To bind his princes at his pleasure, And teach his elders wisdom.”- Psalm 105: 16-22 (NKJV)

God’s will for your life may not involve every circumstance going in your favor. However, that does not mean that you are not in His favor. What I mean by this is that even an ugly situation can result in good means. When we go through tough times, we tend to focus on the present reality without considering the entire picture. We also tend to forget that this current pain may be used to shape and mold us, to get our focus off of ourselves and onto God. His will may also involve you but affect others in ways we would have never thought, to save those who are lost, to encourage those who may be experiencing the same thing, or to free those who are in bondage. His ways are beyond our own. His ways are always for good. His ways are filled with His manifold wisdom, love, and grace. Keep praying, keep trusting, and don’t lose your faith on this bumpy road.
