Are there things you try to practice daily to live a more sustainable lifestyle?
Every day I try to put into practice two things: Contentment and Gratitude. I believe these two are cornerstones of maintaining a sustainable lifestyle.
Contentment keeps my thoughts and emotions in check. It allows me to maximize what I have instead of wasting time pondering on what I do not have or on those who have more. Contentment also allows me to realize any sustainable lifestyle by living within means.
Gratitude expresses my thankfulness to God for giving me ability to have a sustainable lifestyle. Gratitude is the key to joy. If my spirit is filled with pride and bitterness, no matter how much I have I will never gain joy and fulfillment from it.
A sustainable lifestyle is more of a matter of the mind and how we relate to what we have than that of what we have.
