Sowing and reaping is found in everything that we do. Often time we focus not on what we sow but on what we reap. We have this natural tendency to always want to be on the receiving end. This is even true when we are doing good just for the sake of receiving praise from it. What would it look like if we shifted our focus from the outcome and intentionally put focus on the best seed(s) to sow?
Let me explain
We must first understand that sowing and reaping does not happen in the same season. Do not be surprised when all the good you have done and the benefits of that good do not show up until years later. Do not think you are off the hook when the opposite is true. If you sow into that which corrupts you will eventually reap destruction. You can never trick God, but you can fool yourself thinking that nothing will ever happen to the seeds you sow.
Let us sow good not that it may reap something good for ourselves. Let us sow good that the fruit that come may produce more seeds of good
7 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. 10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
