We can be defined by a multitude of things. Career, possessions, family, friends, positions. All of this has the power to define and crush us. Loyalty in created things such as these over the Creator is a dangerous place to be in. If you want to know who or what has power over you just pay attention to that which you place faith in or are afraid of. For faith and fear have the power of dominance in your thought life and will direct your actions.
Example of Steadfast Loyalty
Blameless Daniel lived life with integrity in all aspects of His life. This was a result of where He placed such loyalty in which was God. This was not something that could be hidden. His faithfulness to the LORD was on full display that even King Darius recognized His excellent spirit. Daniel’s loyalty to God brought Him favor and made Him a target. I believe that if Daniel were not faithful unto the LORD He would have been eaten by the lions. If He had placed His hope in His position instead of God. He would have been extremely disappointed and inconsistent, for He would have to constantly change to appease the one who controlled His position.
Loyalty That Will Not Fail
Loyalty to God is freedom. It is recognizing that God is always able. Nothing is too complicated or hard for the LORD. He Has the power over life and death. When your career has died because of you standing for what is right just know that God can revive it with greater life. He can create something brand new for you. When those threaten your life for your faith in Jesus Christ. Realize that they do not have the keys to your life, the LORD does. Loyalty to God will always be a win even if the outcome does not bring one.
