We are all responsible. Responsible for what we do with our life and time, for both are gifts. I did not will myself to be nor do I have that power. I am not my own supply of life, nor can I sustain it on my own. I became and I am here on purpose and for a purpose. I am responsible to the LORD and His Will for my life.
God’s view on responsibility is good. If this were not the case, why would He give you more responsibilities when you are faithful with the ones you have already? When you take responsibility for raising your kids you become intentional on how you raise them. When you take responsibility for your health you become intentional with maintaining a healthy diet and regular exercise. All of these are good results when you take responsibility for what God has placed in your care.
Irresponsibility is when you neglect that which God has assigned to you. This is when the blessing of responsibilities turns into a burden. Instead of gaining we end up losing because of handling things in the wrong way. Yes, responsibilities do indeed have some form of weight to them, but they were never meant to be a burden. The weight is there to help you realize the impact you make every single day.
Remain a faithful steward in a few things for the LORD will make you a faithful ruler over many.
