Season For All Things

Devotional Journal: Reflection on Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Everything is ever changing, nothing on this side of eternity truly stays the same. Just as it goes from winter to spring, we to go through different seasons within our life. Seasons of joy, pain, gain and loss. Some of these seasons can sap us of power or renew us in strength. One thing is for certain no matter the season we must not lose sight of the LORD. If we do, we might just miss what He is trying to reveal to us during the season.

At times we have a grace period when entering a new season. This grace allows us to prepare for what is to come and to let go of what is passing. Other times we are instantly thrust into a season without any preparation or warning. Both scenarios are seasons we cannot control but what we can control is our reaction and resolve.

Do we move in faith or fear? Are we trusting God with the outcome or trying to steer every step? Seasons have a way to show where your allegiance lies. Just be reminded that He Has already seen it coming before it even happens. That His way may not be your way.  That this season of rain might have been needed to help bloom flowers for the next season. Trust the LORD who is Lord over all seasons.
