“Why hold on?” This faint thought crossed my mind. Why hold on to hope, life, and the promise of a better future? The answer is quite simple yet hard to grasp: “There is an intended end.”
The heart of temptation is desire. Our desires can be triggered in many ways. Ways we must not tread on unless those desires are for God and His purposes.
Sometimes focus can be misplaced. If we set our sights on what is in front, we will lose out on what is ahead. If we spend too much time on what is ahead, we will lose out on what is in front.
Sometimes I have these moments of not living life with intent. When this happens, I become short sighted and blinded in my mind of the fact that God placed me here.
A destination awaits all and death is the usher. One is a place of hope, love, and life everlasting. The other is one of darkness that is felt, pain which never ceases and separation from life itself.
