Your attitude and thought when coming before a Holy God are much more important than what you are presenting before Him. If I seek God, it must come from a place of sincerity and not one of routine.
We can be defined by a multitude of things. Career, possessions, family, friends, positions. All of this has the power to define and crush us. Loyalty in created things such as these over the Creator is a dangerous place to be in.
A king and his kingdom, A boss in a leadership role. Any role that puts you in a position of authority will always present a door of pride ready to be open. Authority is a huge responsibility, but authority is not your own. We are just mere stewards of authority.
