Powerful Gift
One of the best things you can do for someone is to pray for their wellbeing. Prayer is a powerful gift that everyone has access to. It connects this physical existence with the spiritual to ask for help, deliverance, power, guidance, and direction for any matter. It is recognizing that we are limited in our own ability. Prayer takes our eyes off ourselves to be a solution and placing the solution in the LORD who is able to do anything.
For All
Prayer is a powerful gift that everyone has access to. It connects this physical existence with the spiritual to ask for help, deliverance, power, guidance, and direction for any matter.
Pray for the wellbeing of ALL. This include those who are against you, who persecute and betray you. I understand this is easier said than done but when you pray for your enemies, these are the things that take place. You release the need for vengeance and bitterness which is not good for you emotionally, spiritually, and physically. You gain understanding that when you place your enemies in God’s hand that He will take care of this far better than what you can do on your own. Lastly, you do not know what people are going through. I am not excusing wrongdoing or taking out one’s pain on another but by praying for them you are helping them to be free. You are praying that they may change for the better. Who knows, this enemy could very well become your greatest friend.
Once Enemies Of God
Those of us who are in Christ Jesus knows that before we were saved that we were enemies of God. Yet, God’s love for us is so great that even when we were still enemies. He still chose to die on our behalf (Romans 5:8). People are hurting and desire relief. The least we can do is pray on their behalf.
“First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, 2 for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. 3 This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”-(The Holy Bible: English Standard Version (Wheaton, IL: Crossway Bibles, 2016), 1 Ti 2:1–4.)
