Devotional Journal: Reflection on Jeremiah 1:4-8
What is inside you? Inside us? A treasure trove of precious gifts bestowed on all by the LORD. Passions and desires that He Has given us. Given that we may fulfill them when we are in full pursuit of Him. This treasure has been there, even before we entered this world.
You and I are masterpieces. We were created with the upmost love and care. We yearn for that same love and care because He Has placed that yearning within us. His ordained purpose for us was already there. He created us on purpose, for His purpose. We have a role to fill. Work that needs to be completed. We were brought forth for this moment.
I say again what is inside you? Inside us? A soul of purpose and a heart made for eternity. Before you could formulate a thought. His thoughts of you were already there. Why look elsewhere when all when need to know about our self if found when knowing Jesus Christ. What is already there is waiting to be known by you.
4 Now the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you and before you were born I consecrated you;
I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
6 Then I said, “Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, I do not know how to speak, for I am only a youth.” 7 But the LORD said to me,
“Do not say, ‘I am only a youth’;
for to all to whom I send you, you shall go,
and whatever I command you, you shall speak.
8 Do not be afraid of them,
for I am with you to deliver you,
declares the LORD.” - Jeremiah 1:4-8
