Complete In Him

Devotional Journal: Reflection on Colossians 2:9-10

Complete, without lack. Is it possible to be complete? We all have been in a place where we lacked something. When lack comes into question it’s never about the things we want but need. These need’s that we have go beyond what we see. Physical and emotional needs often have an easy answer. For an example if I’m hungry the solution would be food. If I’m sad then the answer could be encouragement. What about the eternity size yearning within the heart? A need so great that it affects the soul. The answer to this lack can only be found in one person.

Jesus Christ is the answer to our eternity size yearning. In Him “dwells all the fullness of the God head bodily”(Colossians 2:9 NKJV). What does this mean? If Jesus Christ is our advocate and mediator between us and the Father. Then, in Him we can rest our entire being on. For He is complete and in Him we are complete as well. He Has the ability and power to sustain us. He knows all of our needs and can fulfill each need perfectly.

LORD, may we seek you in all things. Give us the understanding that apart from you we will thirst. In You we shall be filled and overflowing. Manifest your completeness and strengthen our faith to trust in You. Amen
