Thinking upon the existence of God one of the first feeling most people experience is dread. I wonder why this is the case. Is it the weight of past or present sins? The magnitude of His greatness? Or a mixture of both? I can at least provide some relief through this truth: God is not out to get you. If fear is prohibiting you from drawing closer than it’s the trick of the enemy. For Our Heavenly Father do not give us a spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7). Jesus Christ whole purpose on earth was to be the way for us to be close with God our Heavenly Father.
Sometimes even as a Christian the feeling of “stepping on eggshells” can hinder us from truly knowing and being used by God. We feel as though we must be perfect in order for Him to use us. When in actuality, He is the One who is sanctifying, developing, and molding us to His image. This is a work only He can accomplish. Our job is to agree and respond in obedience.
An abundance of grace and peace is awaiting us. Those who are seeking to know God and all things that pertain to Godly living (2 Peter 1:2-3). Whatever He has called you to. Be at relief that He Has already sprinkled your path with grace and peace. He Has equipped you with everything that will be needed. All you and I have to do is walk it out in faith.
