Importance Of Attitude
Your attitude and thought when coming before a Holy God are much more important than what you are presenting before Him. If I seek God, it must come from a place of sincerity and not one of routine. A place such as a child coming before their parent for any need or want. God desires this kind of intimacy. He wants us to be vulnerable before Him. Real with Him.
Who He Is
God is not a God who just idly sits by. He is not a God who forcefully puts Himself into our situations. He is the God who knocks and patiently waits. He is the one who invites us for deeper fellowship with Him, even when we deny the invitation 100 times. He cares for us so deeply that we even fail to realize the magnitude of His love for us.
Freely Come Before Him
All of this is to say that we serve an awesome God! Let us come before Him in a worthy manner in both prayer and supplications. Do not project your own limitations on a limitless God. He is able, there is nothing too big for Him. He is not fearful or in shock of what you bring before Him. Honor the LORD, seek Him and then lay it all before Him.
LORD, may you help us come in a worthy manner every time we come before you. In Jesus Name Amen!
